Joseph H. Mickey, CLU®, ChFC®

Joseph MickeyA Winston-Salem native who grew up only a few blocks from the Holden Mickey & Mickey office, Joe Mickey has deep family roots that go back to Old Salem and Samuel Mickey, the tinsmith who created the city's symbol of hospitality, the tin coffee pot. As a young student and winner of the Metric Science Award at his high school, Mickey was headed for a career as a scientist. But at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill he soon changed his physics major so that he could move into a more people-oriented career: life insurance.

Few people know more about life insurance than Joe Mickey. He worked in the insurance business for over 50 years and was instrumental in forming Holden Mickey & Mickey Inc. Although formally retired with Agent Emeritus status, Joe's knowledge continues to be an inspiring and invaluable asset to Holden Mickey & Mickey.
